The 2023 Petrochemical Industry Development Conference jointly creates a new situation of high-quality development in the petroleum and chemical industries

Dear Minister Jiang Ping, leaders, guests, and comrades:

Good morning everyone! In the beautiful season of grass growing, birds flying, and peach blossoms blooming, we gather in Beijing to discuss the development of the industry together. Firstly, on behalf of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the government departments such as the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, as well as relevant industry enterprises that have provided strong support for this conference. I would like to extend a warm welcome to the leaders, enterprise representatives, and friends attending the conference, and express my sincere gratitude to everyone for their long-term concern and support for the Petrochemical Federation!

The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposes that high-quality development is the primary task of comprehensively building a socialist modernized country. Currently, the world is experiencing unprecedented changes, with an unstoppable trend of industrial transformation, accelerating energy transformation, intensifying market competition, and unprecedented challenges facing the development of the petrochemical industry; At the same time, the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China has made strategic arrangements for the construction of a strong country and the rejuvenation of the nation. China is currently in an important historical period of moving from a manufacturing power to a manufacturing power and comprehensively promoting high-quality development. The development of the petrochemical industry is also facing unprecedented opportunities. In the face of changes in the world, the times, and the situation, how to view the current petrochemical industry in China, how to promote high-quality development of the industry, and how to provide better services for the entire industry? Below, I will share three opinions and ideas.

Firstly, after more than 70 years of development, China's petrochemical industry has the basic conditions to move towards high-quality development.

Overall, in the process of achieving China's first centenary goal, the petrochemical industry has made historic contributions and played a historic role. I believe that in the process of achieving China's second centenary goal, the petrochemical industry will make new and greater contributions, reflecting a sense of responsibility worthy of the new era.

Secondly, high-quality development is a systematic project that requires precise understanding, coordinated promotion, and comprehensive implementation.

Thirdly, the Petrochemical Federation will make every effort to build platforms, establish mechanisms, and promote cooperation, jointly answering the answer to the high-quality development of the petrochemical industry.

The blueprint has been drawn, and the horn has sounded. The most important task at present is to roll up our sleeves and work hard, to implement the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee in conjunction with the actual situation of the industry, put them into action, and see practical results. As the Petrochemical Federation, we will make every effort to provide excellent services and promote high-quality development of the industry.

The times urge people to forge ahead, and the responsibility is heavier than Mount Tai.
